Background

LiftFund, Inc. is a multi-state non-profit microfinance company and small business lender that help new and existing entrepreneurs successfully grow their business.  LiftFund is based in San Antonio with offices throughout Texas and 12 other states.

The mission of LiftFund, Inc. is to provide credit to small businesses that do not have access to loans from traditional sources, and to provide leadership and service to the small business lending field on a national level.

Position Title: Vice President, Large Loans @ Dallas
 
Reports to:  Executive VP of Large Loans Division

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in small business lending
  • Strong familiarity with commercial real estate lending, fixed asset financing, working capital loans and accounts receivable financing
  • Knowledge of SBA guaranteed loans
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Bilingual preferred (Spanish)
Large Loan Division Responsibilities:
  • Larger Loans defined as $100,000 - $500,000 in size and have some unique marketing and underwriting characteristics compared to LiftFund’s existing loan products
  • Achieve production, delinquency, charge-off and other goals within the large loan portfolio as established annually
  • Develop, implement and oversee large loan program in the respective area of operations (budget, marketing, production, delinquency, charge-offs)
  • Promote LiftFund brand effectively
  • Maintain and build extensive network of bankers and other lending personnel to market and promote LiftFund loan products and services
  • Develop and implement efficient recognition, public relations and marketing functions specifically geared for larger loans
  • Create successful model to be duplicated in other markets
  • Maintain compliance with requirements of loan funds
  • Establish, maintain, and participate in Loan Committee
  • Confer with Loan Committee and Underwriting Manager(s) concerning various issues of loan policy and overall credit quality
  • Assemble and provide complete loan packages for submission to underwriting staff
  • Interface regularly with underwriting staff to ensure credit quality and relate unique aspects of larger loans
  • Coordinate loan participations and tandem lending with participating lenders to spread risk, enhance relationships, improve credit quality and support portfolio management
  • Perform site visits and assist with collection efforts as needed
  • Manage all materials, budgets and fundraising proceeds accurately and with integrity
  • Ensure effective relationships with all external and internal constituencies and integrate larger loan program
  • Support training program designed for staff members
  • Present to Senior Staff
  • Provide useful, timely and accurate reporting to LiftFund staff members, and other key stakeholders, as required
  • Develop and implement efficient recognition, public relations and marketing processing functions
  • Oversee and ensure compliance with all contribution dollars from individuals, grants, corporations and foundations
  • Drive outstanding quality control, accuracy and timeliness of information reported internally and externally
  • Support development and implementation of office policies and procedures as they relate to the activities of the organization
  • Provide support to internal and external auditors
  • Participate actively in forecast and budget processes
  • Ensure outstanding and consistent branding within organization
  • Inspire and motivate team members
  • Proactively drive down operating costs and proactively increase efficiency

  • Must have the ability to work some irregular hours
