Position Summary This position provides the opportunity to contribute to up to two high-impact risk modeling projects. A good fit will have an analytical mind, a knack for data-based storytelling and an interest in business applications of advanced analytics models. You will report directly to the Risk Modeling Data Scientist.
Become familiar with LiftFund risk modeling frameworks.
Assist in model retraining processes.
Perform basic clean up and wrangling of train and test datasets.
Produce descriptive statistics and data visualizations.
Perform related duties as assigned.
To Qualify for the Role, You Must Have:
Python skills (data cleaning, validation, working with JSON files, exploratory analysis, visualizations)
A bachelor’s degree in any quantitative or financial discipline. Or, if currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree, 6-12 months’ work experience with data or finance.
6-12 months’ experience collaborating on analytics projects either professional or academic.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Initiative, ability, and desire to work autonomously while meeting planned, unplanned, and sensitive deadlines.
It Would Be Great if You Had
Exposure to or experience with credit risk and lending.
What You’ll Learn
How to clean and prepare real-world datasets
Exposure to model selection and business implementation phases
Collaborating online via MS Office 365 and Onedrive/Sharepoint
